- 2,400+IFC deliverables
- 45,000Engineering man-hours
- 48 hSite TQ response
- 100%IFC milestones met
The challenge
The EPC contractor needed extra engineering capacity to hit an aggressive IFC schedule on a gas processing plant with two compression trains and a TEG dehydration unit.
Our scope
- IFC piping GAs, isometrics and stress analysis
- Steel structures and foundations
- Electrical power and lighting design
- Instrument hook-ups and loop diagrams
- Vendor data integration and site support
Our approach
We worked in the contractor's E3D model and document system as an extension of their team. 30/60/90% model reviews were held with construction, and vendor data was integrated as it arrived to keep drawings current.
- Four-level checking on every deliverable
- Weekly progress measured against the IFC schedule
- Site TQs answered within 48 hours
The outcome
All IFC milestones were met, and site queries were resolved quickly through construction. The contractor has since extended the partnership to further packages.
