Service Overview

3D Modeling Services

The 3D model is the central engineering database of a modern plant project. We build intelligent, specification-driven models in AVEVA E3D / PDMS, Hexagon SmartPlant 3D and AutoCAD Plant 3D — covering equipment, piping, structures, electrical and instrumentation — and use them to coordinate disciplines and extract accurate deliverables.

We can also set up the project environment: catalogues, specifications, drawing templates and administration, so the model is consistent from the first object to handover.

  • Project setupCatalogues, specs and templates configured.
  • Spec-driven modellingEquipment, piping, steel and E&I objects.
  • Clash managementHard and clearance clashes tracked to closure.
  • Model deliverablesIsometrics, GAs and MTOs from the model.

Setup & Modelling

Intelligent, specification-driven models

Components are modelled from project catalogues and piping specifications, with the attributes needed for isometrics, reports and handover.

  • Project setup, catalogues, specifications and drawing templates
  • Equipment with nozzles, platforms, ladders and maintenance envelopes
  • Piping, valves, in-line instruments and pipe supports
  • Steel structures, pipe racks and foundations
  • Cable trays, HVAC ducts and instrument / electrical equipment
Coordination & Reviews

Clash management & model reviews

Model quality and inter-discipline coordination are controlled through scheduled reviews and clash management.

  • 30% / 60% / 90% model reviews with client and construction
  • Hard and soft (clearance) clash detection and tracked resolution
  • Operability, maintenance access and escape route checks
  • Model integrity and data consistency audits
  • Navisworks / review-model publishing
Deliverables

Isometrics, drawings & MTOs

Deliverables are extracted directly from the model for speed and consistency.

  • Piping isometrics and spool drawings with BOMs
  • Plans, sections and GA drawings
  • Material take-offs for procurement and estimating
  • Stress isometrics and CAESAR II data exchange
  • Model handover and data export for operations
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which 3D platforms do you model in?

AVEVA E3D / PDMS, Hexagon SmartPlant 3D and AutoCAD Plant 3D, plus Navisworks for review and clash management.

Can you set up catalogues and specifications?

Yes. We build and maintain project catalogues, piping specifications, templates and reports, or work within the EPC contractor’s existing setup.

What inputs do you need to build the model?

P&IDs, plot plans, equipment and vendor drawings, piping specifications and the project’s design standards. For existing plants we can model from laser scans.

Do you perform clash detection?

Yes. Hard and clearance clashes are run at every review stage and tracked in a clash register until resolved.

Can isometrics and MTOs be extracted to our format?

Yes. Isometric styles, BOM formats and MTO reports are configured to your standards.
